Event Information
Experience a triathlon like no other at the Somerset Multisport Festival. Taking place at Lake Wivenhoe, this event promises to ignite your sense of adventure. Just under an hour’s drive from central Brisbane, the lake is not only a picturesque spot for camping, picnicking, boating and swimming, it also provides the region with more than half its drinking water.
As a triathlon competitor, you’ll swim through the calm lake waters before heading out on a ride through lush surroundings. If you choose the Short Distance you will stick to sealed roads, whereas the Gravel Sprint Distance offers the added challenge of riding through the multi-use trail network at Wivenhoe Hill. You’ll then transition from ride to lakeside run as you complete a final loop from Logan Inlet before reaching the finish line.
The Somerset Multisport Festival isn’t just for athletes. With three tri distances on offer, including a Kid’s Aquathon, it’s the perfect event for the whole family.
