Where is Wivenhoe Dam?

A: Wivenhoe Dam is about 80 kilometres from Brisbane, situated in the beautiful Somerset Region.

Nutrition will be provided by our nutrition partner Infinit Nutrition.

Where are aid stations on course?

To be confirmed.

Do I need to be a member of AusTriathlon?

A: No, however, you will need to purchase a one-day license to participate in the Short Road Triathlon and Gravel Sprint Triathlon’.

Are there age requirements?

Yes, minimum ages for our events are detailed below:

Short Road Triathlon 13 years old
Gravel Sprint Triathlon 14 years old
Kids Aquathlon 7 years old (100m swim/ 1km run)
  11 years old (200m swim / 2km run)
21km trail run 15 years old
5km 7 years old

What date determines the competitor’s age category?

Date as at Saturday 12 October 2024

Where do I find general race information and rules

A: Information and rules are available in the competitor guide, which will be made available 2 weeks prior to race day.

Where can I find information about WTC and Aus Triathlon polices?

A: You can visit the World Triathlon website and the Aus Triathlon website for this information.

When do I collect my bib and timing chip?

A: Athlete Check-in for collection of bib, timing chip, swimming cap will take place from 6:30am on the day of your race and close 30min prior to race start.

Can I wear a wetsuit?

For open water swimming competitions in water with water temperature below 20C, swimmers may use either swimsuits or wetsuits. When the water temperature is below 18C, the use of wetsuits is compulsory. If the water temperature is greater than 20C then you may wear a wetsuit but you will not be eligible to win prizes.

When do entries open?

Entries to the Somerset Multisport Festival will open at 10am on Friday 26th July 2024

Can I wear/use any swim aids?

The use of any swim aids (flippers, pool buoys, paddles, etc) is strictly prohibited for the safety of all participants.

Is there somewhere I can leave my belongings while I race?

A: Yes, there will be a bag drop area located at the event precinct. This will open from 6:30am. You can find the event precinct map here.

A: Late entries will be subject to availability and will need to be purchased in person at the event precinct from 6:30am.
